The mission of the Department of Physical Services under the Office of the Secretary of State is to serve as the custodian of the Capitol Complex and the three facilities in Chicago. This service includes new construction projects, special events and tourism programs relating to the Capitol Complex, mailing & shipping services; telecommunications statewide as well as the maintenance and construction of the Capitol Complex and the Chicago facilities.
This Department consists of eight divisions: Engineering, Construction and Maintenance, Telecommunications, Warehouse, Mailing & Shipping, Planning and Development, Special Events and Custodial, Administrative - Personnel and Fiscal.
